Analytical company App Annie once again sums up the year by publishing ratings of the most breakthrough apps and games. These tops do not take into account the total number of downloads, but indicators for 2020 and 2021 to identify which services have seen a sharp increase in popularity.
The top 10 breakthrough apps in Russia included the stores “AliExpress Russia” and Shein, Dixy and Samokat grocery delivery services, DiDi taxi, CapCut video editor, StarMaker karaoke service, and Zenly mapping social network.
The authors of the study also presented the tops for breakthrough downloads and in-app purchases compared to 2020. It took into account the data of iOS and Android users around the world. It turned out that users of YouTube, TikTok, Twitch, Tinder and Google One, as well as streaming services like Disney+ and HBO Max, spent the most money. The top breakthrough apps by downloads are CapCut, Telegram, VPN services NightOwl and VPN Master.
