Browser icons will vary slightly on different operating systems.
Google will update the Chrome browser logo for the first time in eight years. In the new icon, the developers removed the shadows, simplified the proportions, and brightened the colors so that it “fits a more modern brand expression.” This was announced by the company's designer Alvin Hu. -vosem-let-ba37b58.jpg” alt=”Google Chrome will change the — icon for the first time in eight years” />
Google designers found that placing certain shades of green and red next to each other created an unpleasant color vibrance, so they added a very subtle gradient to the main icon to soften this effect.
The new icon has been adapted for different operating systems so that it has a recognizable look and blends with the styles of various interfaces. So, on Windows 10 and 11 the icon has a smoother gradient, on Chrome OS it has brighter shades without transitions, and on macOS it has a three-dimensional effect.
The new icons will start appearing on all devices soon, in Google search and browsers across platforms.
