< p>Google will unveil its first Pixel-branded tablet in the coming months. The device was already teased at Google I/O in May, alongside the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. All three devices are expected to be fully presented in the fall, and they will be released before the end of the year with Android 13 on board. And it seems that Google is actively preparing firmware for the release of its flagship gadgets.
Mishaal Rahman, technical editor at Esper, a cloud management platform for Android devices, noticed an important change in the standard Chrome browser. In the Chromium Gerrit code collaboration software, he noticed the new Stylus input checkbox and how it works.
According to the description, this checkbox must be manually enabled in the settings so that Samsung devices with S Pen support on Android 13 and later can be used to enter text in the browser. Using the DirectWriting API, the stylus will learn to write on any part of the page: for example, in Google Forms to fill out questionnaires without a keyboard. It looks like Samsung is still working on the handwriting recognition feature for the S Pen.
Similar APIs for styluses will be used on most devices with the release of Android 13. It is likely that the full feature will be introduced with the Google Pixel Tablet.
