Google has released a new Google TV app for iOS, which has been pre-installed on most Android smartphones for a long time. It allows iPhone and iPad users to create playlists, get personalized movie recommendations, and rate what they watch.

< p>Google TV replaces the older Play Movies and TV app: if you had it installed on your iOS device, it will automatically update the name, icon and interface, keeping all user information intact.

The app also allows you to use your iPhone or iPad to control TVs or set-top boxes on Android TV. In addition to being able to use your smartphone's keyboard to search and enter passwords, this also makes it possible to use the “Google Assistant” on TVs without a built-in voice assistant.
