Last year, WhatsApp finally added the ability to transfer data from iOS to Android, and now the messenger is testing the transfer in reverse order.
Several requirements must be met:
- You are going to use the same WhatsApp number on your iPhone as on your Android smartphone.
- The iPhone must be new (or factory reset).
- Both smartphones must be connected to charging and one Wi-Fi network.
After that, on an Android smartphone, just open the Transfer to iOS application and select WhatsApp from the list of available data. Follow the instructions on the screen.

How to transfer from iPhone requires on the receiving smartphone Android 12 and newer was installed, and data transfer from Android requires the latest firmware on the new device: iOS 15.5 and higher. At the same time, you can extract data even from an old smartphone – up to Android 5.0.
Now the function is only available in the latest beta: WhatsApp 2.22.10.70 on iPhone and 2.22.7.74 on Android. It is not yet known when it will appear in the stable build.
