The social network “VKontakte” announced a new change in the security system. Now the social network will automatically compare the user's password with the passwords published in the merged databases. If a match is found, the user will receive a notification asking them to change their password.

It is noted that the process is fully automatic, and the data is encrypted to avoid leaks. Leaks will be monitored constantly, and both Russian and international services will be checked.

At the same time, the requirements for new passwords have been tightened: the system will not accept a combination that is too simple and will complicate it with additional characters of different types.
