Back in May, the Wallet app was introduced as part of Google I/O. It has now started rolling out on Google Play to users in 39 countries.
Wallet will be able to store debit and credit cards, as well as digital identity identifiers (entitlement or ID-card), vaccination status, tickets, keys and loyalty cards.
< p> In most countries, Wallet will become a replacement for Google Pay, but there are a couple of exceptions: both services will work in Singapore and the USA, and only Google Pay will remain in India. This is due to the fact that in these countries the service is actively used to send money to friends, and not just pay online and offline.
In the coming A couple of days Wallet will appear in the smartphones of users from countries that are included in the list above (except Japan). Russia is not in it.
