It is already available to some users.

Earlier this year, Google announced an updated Gmail that will make it easier to switch between features Gmail, Chat and Meet. Now some users have started receiving this update.
If it's available to you, you'll be prompted to set up Chat and Meet integration when you enter your mailbox, and you'll also notice changes to the interface. The new version allows you to quickly switch between mail, meetings and important correspondence without opening new tabs. If you wish, you can return to the old design in the settings.
Also, the icon design on the right panel has changed in the new interface: now these are modern versions in the style of Material You, which Google has been actively promoting since 2021.

The new interface has already begun to gradually roll out to all Gmail users (both with a subscription and with a regular Google account). The only exceptions are owners of the Google Workspace Essentials plan: the update will reach them later. It is noted that for users with different types of accounts, the interface of the updated application will be different.
