Masked iPhone unlock, Universal Control, new emojis and more.
On the night of March 15, Apple began sending out new versions of operating systems for its smartphones, computers, watches, and set-top boxes. The updates are small, but some useful changes in them definitely deserve attention. Here are the main ones.
iOS 15.4
The key innovation is the ability to unlock iPhone with Face ID while wearing a mask and without connecting to Apple Watch. This feature works on iPhone 12 and newer models.
watchOS 8.5 also allows you to confirm purchases and subscriptions on Apple TV, and offers audio prompts in Fitness+ to complement the movements shown during workouts.
tvOS 15.4
On tvOS, Apple has updated Spatial Audio controls and also added support for the gender-neutral voice of Siri, just like on HomePod.
All the latest versions of operating systems can already be downloaded and installed on devices. To do this, go to “Settings” → “General” → “Software Update”.
