1. Music recognition
Yandex.Music can replace Shazam and quickly add a recognized track to your library.
< p>How it works: in the mobile app, open search, minimize the keyboard and press the purple button to recognize the track.
2. Sleep timer
If you're used to listening to music before bed, you can set a sleep timer in the app that will stop playback after a certain amount of time.
How it works: open the main playback screen, where the album art is displayed, click on stopwatch icon at the very bottom and select the desired time.
3. Controlling the Station and other devices
At the end of last year, Yandex.Music finally introduced the Station control function, which allows you to quickly redirect sound to the desired speaker, adjust the volume, and switch tracks.
The same function allows you to connect Yandex.Music, for example, to devices with AirPlay or Android TV.

How it works: on the main playback screen, click on the button with the image of the monitor and speaker in the upper right corner, and then connect to one of the detected devices.
4. Children's section
Especially for the youngest listeners, Yandex.Music offers a huge number of children's books and playlists of children's music, including tracks from various cartoons.
< p>How it works: To enable the children's music section, in the application, open the “Collection” screen (the heart on the right), click on the settings gear and activate the switch “Show the “Kids” section”.
5. Equalizer
Yandex.Music does not have its own equalizer, but there is access to external ones, that is, to the sound settings of your smartphone. They can allow you to customize the sound of the tracks to your preferences.
< p>How it works: open the “Collection” screen (heart on the right), click on the settings gear, scroll down, click “Equalizer” and turn it on.
6. Autosave tracks
To make your playlists available for listening even without connecting to the Web, they can be saved to the smartphone's memory. To do this, everyone has a “Download” button.
However, if you have dozens of playlists and a lot of free memory, it's easier to turn on autosave – this way all songs will be downloaded on the first play.
< p>How it works: open the “Collection” screen, click on the settings gear and activate the toggle next to “Autosave tracks”.
7. Links to social networks and concerts of performers
If the performer has an official website and groups in social networks, then you will surely find links to them in Yandex.Music. Similarly with live performances, which are often announced in the application.
How it works: open the page of a group or artist and rewind it to the very bottom — first, there may be announcements of concerts, and then – a website, a link to VKontakte, and a YouTube profile.
8. Import music from other services
We have already talked about three ways to transfer music from Spotify, but not so long ago, Yandex launched an official tool for a quick move – and not only from Spotify, but also from Apple Music, Deezer and Last.fm.
How it works: open the Collection screen, tap the settings gear, go to to “Import library”, select the service and follow the instructions.
9. Music preferences
If your musical tastes have changed a lot and you do not want to receive tracks of certain genres and directions in the recommendations, then you need to manually clarify your preferences. This can be done through the web version of Yandex.Music.
How it works: open the Collection section, click Settings and select Refine next to Music Preferences.
10. Listening statistics
Also in the web version there are statistics on the popularity of performers. It not only displays the number of likes and plays, but also shows the difference from month to month, the regions with the most listeners, as well as numbers for similar artists.
How it works: open the screen of any artist and go to the outermost section called “Info”.
