Microsoft announced a feature in Windows 11 that allows you to restore applications on a new computer that were previously installed on a user's old PC. It will also be possible to use it when reinstalling the OS on the device.

The function will work through the Microsoft Store. Accordingly, everything that was installed through this application store can be restored.

Currently, there is no such possibility in the system, so when changing on a computer, the user has to install the necessary programs and services manually.

The new feature will soon be available to participants in the Windows 11 Insider program, and after it will appear in the stable version of the OS.

The Verge rightly noted that that the new restore feature will indeed carry some weight if the amount of useful content in the Microsoft Store grows. Over the past year, this situation has improved slightly – Firefox, Zoom, Adobe Acrobat Reader and OBS Studio have appeared. But even so, many of the necessary programs are still not there, they have to be downloaded from other sources.
