There is a simple solution.
Some Windows 10 and Windows 11 users are complaining that they can't launch their browsers after installing the April security update. Error 0xc0000022 appears when trying to open Chrome, Firefox or even Edge, reopening the application or restarting the computer does not help.
It is reported that Vivaldi, Brave, and a few other browsers continue to work – but that's mediocre consolation for those who have all their bookmarks and passwords saved in Chrome. Fortunately, this error does not appear to all users, and you can fix it by rolling back update KB5012599.
If you encounter this problem and cannot use the browser, use the instructions of Layhfaker to remove the update.
