Users of smartwatches running Wear OS 3 will be able to receive calls via the WhatsApp messenger in the future.
The new feature appeared in the beta version of the application for Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and 5. So far messenger developers have not released separate software for smartwatches, and WhatsApp calls are simply marked with a separate icon and contact information.
The feature is currently being tested and is available only to some users of the beta version of the messenger – if there are compatible hours. The timing of its widespread implementation and the possible release of a separate messenger application has not yet been reported.
