Earlier this year, WhatsApp expanded the maximum number of group members to 512 – and is now testing a feature with which a mass exit of users from a discussion will not overwhelm other participants with notifications .
This change is reflected in the group leave warning that WABetaInfo enthusiasts found in the WhatsApp Desktop beta. It warns that if you leave the group, only administrators will receive a system notification.
WABetaInfo also reminds that the screenshot was taken in beta -version of WhatsApp, so the feature may change by the time of release. Although it is currently being tested on the desktop version, it is planned to be released in the standard messenger apps for iOS and Android.
