They will allow you to separate communication, work, interests and news. -s-pomoshhju-papok-022fae3.jpg” alt=”How to clean up Telegram chats and channels using folders” />
With the blocking of Instagram and Facebook in Russia, many of the usual channels of communication and dissemination of information have moved in Telegram. Now there are bloggers, and accounts of various companies, and even groups by city and interest.
So that the list of chats in the messenger does not turn into one endless feed of news and messages, you can use the folders that have been available in Telegram for a long time. Here's how they work.
Folders can be created both in the app on your smartphone and on your PC. To do this, open “Settings” and click on the item “Folders”.
Messenger will offer to create a folder “New” – for all chats with unread messages, and “Private”, where all your correspondence with other people (one on one) will be collected.
You can skip these two options and go straight to selective grouping of your chats. To do this, click “Create a new folder” and enter its name.
You can change the order of tabs. On smartphones, to do this, you need to hold down the folder header and select “Change Order”, after which you can move what you need with one more hold. On a PC, this can be done by simply dragging and dropping with the mouse.
It is important to note that all your chats and channels are not transferred to the created folders, but are only copied there from the general list. Therefore, deleting entire folders does not delete the chats and channels themselves.
And of course, the folders are synchronized on all devices where you have Telegram installed.
