Although iOS 16 was released back in September, iPads still run iPadOS 15. That will change soon: according to Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman, iPadOS 16.1 will be released in the week of October 24-30.
< p> It seems that the release of the big update was decided to be postponed in order to eliminate the bugs of version 16.0. According to Gurman, no new bugs or problems were found in the iPadOS 16.1 beta, which means that the firmware is finally ready for the general public.
One of the main innovations of this update is the Stage Manager desktop mode, which provides a more convenient work with multiple applications. It also adds a Freeform application – a whiteboard for drawing, including in collaborative mode. See our article for other changes.
It is expected that iOS 16.1 and watchOS 9.1 will also be released simultaneously with iPadOS 16.1. macOS 13 Ventura could also be released at the same time.
