An official message appeared on the Airbnb website about the complete suspension of the service in Russia and Belarus. It states that guests from these countries will no longer be able to book anywhere.
Announcement calendars are also blocked in these countries. All bookings starting April 4, 2022 have been cancelled.
According to the English-language release, Airbnb announces that it is not possible to use the service only when you are in Russia and Belarus.
At the time of this writing , Airbnb still worked from Russia and allowed you to search for accommodation in other countries. Only accommodation options in Russia itself are not displayed – this opportunity became unavailable last month.
There are at least 9 alternative services to search for housing within the country.
