On October 1, at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office, Roskomnadzor restricted access to the SoundCloud music service in Russia.
The agency's decision is based on Article 15.3 of the Law “On Information”, which regulates the restriction of access to unreliable publicly significant information distributed under the guise of reliable messages.
At the time this note was published, the web version of SoundCloud had already ceased open in the Russian Federation, but mobile applications were still working.
