The standard camera application on the iPhone automatically turns off the music playing on the device when shooting a video. This is a protective measure so that the user does not accidentally record a song or podcast episode over the surrounding sounds, which can ruin the recording.
But not all users know that iOS has a way to record both the sounds from the camera microphone and from the smartphone itself. Here's how.
- Make sure your camera is in Photo mode and not Video mode.
- Turn on the music on your iPhone that you want to play in the background.
- Open the Camera app ”.
- Hold the capture button and move it to the right – to the lock icon.
- Now you can remove your finger: you are recording a regular video, but with music from the iPhone over the main audio track.< /li>
The finished video will be saved to the Photos application, where it can be edited in the same way as regular videos.
