It can already be tested – however, only in Canary. -poiska-3c6b6aa.jpg” alt=”Google Chrome for Android will get a new search bar design” />

Google is preparing a redesign of the search bar for the Android version of the Chrome browser. The new interface, called Omnibox, will combine the address bar and the search bar.
Omnibox is no different from a regular address bar when browsing the site. But that changes when you click on it. The search bar and autocomplete are now offered in the card with rounded corners, with each line separated from the other.

So far, you can only try it in Chrome Canary. To do this, enter chrome://flags/#omnibox-modernize-visual-update into the search bar, check the box next to this option and restart the browser. Regular Chrome 105 also has this checkbox, but at the time of publication, clicking it does not affect the interface.
Interestingly, the description of the checkbox states that it activates the first step of Omnibox deployment. This suggests more changes to come in the future.
