Chinese developers have created a useful utility for macOS – iPreview. This is not a standalone application, but an extension to the standard quick view utility that adds support for a number of formats, including:
- Source code (.js, jsx, tsx, .vue, .css, .less, .scss, .wxml, .wxss, .ux, objc, .swift, .java, .kotlin, .dart, .py, .rb , .rs, .go, .R, .f90, .pl, .jl, .json, .yml, .list, .properties, .gradle, .iml and more).
- Custom Documents (Markdown, Jupyter, math equations).
- Archives (.zip, .7z, .gz, .rar, .tar).
- 3D models and skeletons for animation.< /li>
iPreview itself only needs to be launched once: to customize the preview style (for example, code highlighting theme, TAB width, and line number display). You can also set the render mode of the 3D model, default lighting and stuff like that.
After that, you just need to right-click on the file in the Finder and click “Quick View” – and thanks to iPreview, formats that were not previously opened in this way will become available.
The application does not have a free version, but it is enough to buy it once for 279 rubles for permanent access to all functions.
